Red Velvet cupcakes

Have had this recipe laying around for a while and wanted to try them out this past weekend.
I have never had a Red Velvet cake nor a cupcake before and with all the "rumours" about them, really made my mouth drewl....

So I baked them...don't get me wrong here, they are great, but they didn't meet my expectations.
Not the ones I had built for so long...

They did taste good, just not as good as I thought they would.

Okay...I am going to stop ramble and let you give it a go...
